New!

On the first floor we now have our new exhibit “Plenty of Past Paraphernalia” on display. Come check it out to learn more about lesser known Floyd County businesses.

Coming Soon!

Look forward to…

We will be adding a permanent exhibit telling the story of the Floyd County Historical Society and how we got to where we are today. Look for it in the Carriage Room next to the Hotels in Floyd County exhibit.

Upstairs

Now upstairs where the country store exhibit used to be we have a new rotating space. Right now we have on display on exhibit on the Charley Western Railroad and an exhibit called “Shop Til You Drop: Shopping and Store Trends Through the Years.” Come check out these new exhibits!

In the Tractor Room

We introduced a new, small, special exhibit in the tractor room on September 14, 2022. “Behind the Scenes at the Oliver Plant” showcases objects and documents from everyday life at the Oliver plant in Charles City, Iowa. A highlight of the display are some original spray paints used to color Oliver tractors. The “Behind the Scenes at the Oliver Plant” items will change every six months.
