Make A Gift To Preserve The Past For The Future

Make a Gift

Fully tax-deductible donations of all sizes to the Floyd County Historical Society helps FCHS provide ongoing support for education programs, collections preservation, operations, and capital improvements.

  • FCHS programs inspire young visitors to take an active interest in the history of Floyd County and all the history that surrounds them by providing hands-on educational experiences.
  • Your support helps the Museum continue to accept, preserve, and display the many artifacts in our collection.
  • As a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, FCHS relies on the generous support of our members and community partners. Your support helps the Society maintain our Museum property, pay bills, and do repairs.

If you would like to donate in memory of a loved one please contact FCHS with their name to be included in our newsletter, Floyd County Heritage.

Planned Giving: FCHS Endowment Fund

Making a gift to the Floyd County Historical Society through your estate ensures FCHS remains strong for future generations.

The FCHS Endowment Fund was established in 1984 when there was a recognized need for a vehicle whereby public-spirited citizens could make lasting gifts to preserve and promote historic interests of the Floyd County area.

Endowments can be enormously comforting for donors. We offer donors the option of providing a gift that will keep on giving well into the future, and/or the opportunity to fund the needs of the moment such as operating and program funding.

If you are interested in contributing to the Endowment Fund, a donor can write a check, endorse stock certificates, bonds, or make a conveyance of real estate or other property of any kind, or, they may provide through their will that a cash sum or a percentage of their estate shall pass to the FCHS Endowment fund.

Consider donating today to help FCHS continue our mission to keep alive an active interest in Floyd County History by Collecting, Preserving, and Interpreting materials relating to Floyd County.

For questions about gifts or long term planning, email FCHS at or call 641-228-1099.
